It’s A”Maze”ing..

Hey everybody – THE WRITER here.

Sally has been long due for an overhaul.  For a longtime.

The  problem was, with this being a budding comic, and no one reading it (except for a select few), it was fast becoming boring and unfulfilling.

A friend of mine (who coincidentally, is an artist that I met on halloween of last year) did a drawing of Sally, redesigning her costume. I liked it so much that I changed the costume.

Just a little bit. Not a whole lot. I proise, you can still tell it’s Sally.

In fact, you can tell so much that it’s still Sally, that when I dropped in on the good folks at ConNooga this afternoon (the last day of the convention), some of them recognized her.

 

Now, here is where I would post pictures, and quirky little anecdotes, but instead, I’m going to be lazy and link you to the photobucket album where you can look for yourself at all the pretty pictures (all like..five of them?).  Including:

More Updates, No Comics.

Hey all, Writer Here.

So, I know it’s been WEEKS since the last update with a comic. But good news!

Next week, You’ll have a fresh new episode!

And then the week after that, maybe. But let’s not get our hopes up.

I’m shooting for an episode every 2 weeks or so.

But there’s no use in my shooting and putting together these episodes if NOBODY READS THEM.

So here’s what I want you to do. Leave me comments. Add Sally to your myspace. E-mail Sally. Draw pictures. Tell your friends. Tell strangers. Tell your preacher.

Okay, scratch that last.

Sally & Snuffles will be at DragonCon, We’re hoping for pics with Brad Dourif (The voice of Chucdky) and Robert Englund (Freddy!), and James Hong (Lo Pan.). Also, Sally & Snuffles will be in the Masquerade. So come find us! Unfortunatly we won’t have a table, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try for next year. With your (the fans’) help, we could become as big as Foamy.

Temporary Hiatus

Hey all, THE WRITER here.

I have some bad news and some good news.

The bad news is that, due to some real life stepping in, I won’t be able to shoot any new comics for at least the next 3 weeks.

The good news is that I have a load of storylines written up, and when I do get to shoot them, they will involve new places, new people, and a load of new puns.

I’m very sorry to anounce all this to you, especially after not having updated in almost a month, but that’s the way it is folks. I’ll have plenty of new issue.

In other news, Snuffles (That would be Sally’s werewolf) and sally are STILL planning on going to DragonCon! We’re hoping for pictures with Brad Dourif (The voice of Chucky!), and Micheal Rosenbaum (becuase..you know..he’s Micheal Rosenbaum.). If your gonna be there, look for us! We’ll be..wandering around..

SallySwag will be postponed for a while too, until we can get an artist to draw up some stuff for us to put on t-shirts and bags. Any artists interested? We coudl use some help! E-mail Sally.

Well guys, I’m sorry that this took SO LONG. Things got really busy here, and then it was raining for a long time, so it took a while to finally get something shot.

I promise I’ll start going back to the macabre, and horror-ific themes soon. I’m planning a 2-3 episode story arc, if I can find some people.

New Updates:
Sally Valentine was rejected for Dragon*Con. I applied for celebrity/guest status, but aparrantly I am not a “Fit.” for the convention. Oh well. I’ll be there anyway, come find me!

SallySwag will be here in june! Yes, you could possibly own a t-shirt, notebook, totebag, whatever!
If you’ll be at DragonCon, I might have some swag with me, but I might not have a table. That’s still unknown.

For those of you who voted to give me celebrity status at ConNooga, the swag you’ll be receiving won’t be available till DragonCon.

Last, but not least, Soon I’ll be running a contest! I’m asking writers, artists, and cosplayers to participate, but I have not finalized the rules or prizes yet. Stay tuned for more details!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

The first issue of “The Adventures of Sally Valentine.”

What is it? Well it’s a photocomic, with a twist. Most photocomics are done with action figures. This one is done with a real person. The pictures are all taken with a self timer (that’s right folks, I do my own pictures!), the costume was made by me, and I do all the computer editing stuff.

This started as a joke, with the comic you’ll find below. I did it as my valentine’s card to send to everyone, and becuase I loved the costume. Some people on a forum that I had posted it to mentioned turning it into a graphic novel, or a comic book, and it went from there.

 I’m HOPING to get a new one every thursday, starting the thursday after valentine’s day. I don’t knwo how well that will work, but we’ll see.

My ultimate goal? To make an apperance at a convention as an exhibitor (artist?) in 2009.

Future Comics will NOT have thumbnails, but as this one is bigger than the layout I chose, I decided that a thumbnail was the best way to go. So there.
WARNING: I’d call this PG 13, since there is the non violent stabbing of a fake heart. Just warning.
